A Seminar on Animation Skills was organized on 11th and 12th July, for the Superiors and First Assistants of the communities with the objective of strengthening their leadership abilities and equipping them for more effective service within their respective communities. The programme served as a valuable platform for the participants to reflect on their role as leaders, deepen their understanding of community animation, and enhance their interpersonal and administrative skills.

The programme served as a valuable platform for the participants to reflect on their role as leaders, deepen their understanding of community animation, and enhance their interpersonal and administrative skills.
The resource person for the seminar was Sr. Chrupushpam, MSJ, who, with her rich experience and practical wisdom, conducted the sessions in an engaging and thought-provoking manner. She dealt extensively with significant themes such as different styles of leadership, the essential qualities and responsibilities of an effective leader, community dynamics, and the development of personal traits necessary for religious leadership. Through inspiring inputs, practical illustrations, real-life examples, and interactive discussions, she helped the participants appreciate the importance of servant leadership, collaborative decision-making, effective communication, emotional maturity, and compassionate accompaniment in religious life.
The sessions encouraged the participants to reflect deeply on their personal leadership journey, recognize their strengths and areas for growth, and cultivate attitudes that foster unity, trust, and mutual respect within their communities. The practical insights and concrete examples shared by the resource person enabled the participants to relate the concepts to their everyday responsibilities as community leaders. The seminar proved to be a meaningful and enriching experience, empowering the leaders of the Province to carry out their ministry with renewed enthusiasm, greater confidence, and a deeper sense of responsibility. It inspired them to embrace leadership as a call to selfless service, compassionate accompaniment, and faithful stewardship of the mission entrusted to them. A total of 28 participants benefited from this formative programme, making it a fruitful initiative towards strengthening the leadership and community life of the Province. Rev Fr Alwyn Dias the Provincial Minister of St Fidelis Province celebrated the Eucharist for us and inspired us with his apt homily.
