The Ursuline Franciscan Congregation, Mangalore Province solemnly celebrated the Golden and Silver Jubilee of religious profession of nine Sisters on 11th April 2026 at Assisi Central School Auditorium, Derlakatte. The Golden Jubilarians were Sr Laureen Cutinha, Sr Rosy D’Souza, Sr Stella D’Souza, and Sr Violet Sequeira, while the Silver Jubilarians were Sr Anitha Rodrigues, Sr Laveena D’Souza, Sr Leena D’Souza, Sr Rita D’Souza, and Sr Wilma D Almeida.

The celebration began with a Eucharistic celebration, with Rev. Fr Victor D’Mello, Parish Priest of Lady of Mercy Church, Paneer, as the main celebrant, joined by four concelebrants. This was followed by a felicitation programme organized in honour of the jubilarians. The community Sisters of the respective jubilarians expressed their appreciation through words of felicitation and presented gifts. The family members, the Provincial Team and the Generalate Team also extended their congratulations and honored the Sisters.
Rev. Sr Milly Fernandes, Superior General, presided over the Jubilee celebration. In her address, she appreciated each Sister for their unique qualities, congratulated them, and expressed gratitude for their dedicated and selfless service.
The joyous occasion was graced by the presence of the family members of the Sisters, numerous Sisters from the Province, and representatives from the Central Delegation, making the celebration a memorable and meaningful event for all. Sr Juliana Pais welcomed the gathering and Sr Rita D’Souza the silver jubilarian expressed words of gratitude on behalf of Jubilarians. Sr Vinutha Dsouza compered the entire programme. The celebration was hosted by the Provincial Superior and Council of Mangalore Province.
