The 9th Regional Chapter of the European Region of the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation was held from October 11-18, 2025 at Pax Gästehaus in Unkel, Germany. In preparation for the Chapter, the 20 delegates spent 4 days in a spiritual retreat, on the theme “Repair my House in a Synodal way,” which was prayerfully guided by Fr Dennis OSFS.
The 9th Regional Chapter of the European Region of the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation was held from October 11-18, 2025 at Pax Gästehaus in Unkel, Germany. In preparation for the Chapter, the 20 delegates spent 4 days in a spiritual retreat, on the theme “Repair my House in a Synodal way,” which was prayerfully guided by Fr Dennis OSFS. The retreat offered the delegates a grace-filled opportunity for deep spiritual reflection and renewed enthusiasm for the chapter proceedings.
Following the retreat, the formal Chapter sessions began with the opening prayer service, followed by the Inaugural talk by Superior General Rev. Sr Milly Fernandes, the Chapter focused on reviewing the past activities, discussing ongoing challenges and planning future initiatives within the Region. Towards the conclusion, policies and the mandates were formulated to guide the future growth of the Region. Sisters of European Region remain grateful to the Superior General, Rev. Sr Milly Fernandes who graciously moderated the Chapter with wisdom, gentleness and deep spiritual insights which inspired all the delegates to participate with openness and commitment. The Region extends deep appreciation to Counsellor General Rev. Sr Philomina Noronha whose dedicated service, support, guidance contributed for the effective functioning of the Chapter. Sisters of European Region remain grateful to the entire Congregation for the prayers and support that made the Chapter a true experience of communion and shared mission. A special word of thanks for the outgoing team for their dedicated service and generosity in leading the Region.
The newly appointed team members are: Rev. Sr Roshni Monis, the Regional Superior, Sr Monthy Fernandes, Sr Sandana Mary, the Regional Councillors and Sr Joyce Lobo as the Coordinator for Italian Zone.
The 9th Regional chapter entrusted the newly elected Team with the responsibility to implement the Chapters decisions, and to carry forward the vision of “Repair my House in a Synodal way” with faith, dedication and hope.
May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and inspire the newly elected team as they lead the Region with faith, wisdom and compassion.
