It was our long awaited dream to have our own Social Action Centre at Lucknow for North Province in order to coordinate and cater to the Social Apostolate of all the units of the Province, so the terrace of the novitiate block was converted into Social Action Centre.
It was our long awaited dream to have our own Social Action Centre at Lucknow for North Province in order to coordinate and cater to the Social Apostolate of all the units of the Province, so the terrace of the novitiate block was converted into Social Action Centre with one room, hall and wash rooms.
Today is a moment of joy, gratitude, and new beginnings. This Centre stands as a sign of our commitment to the mission of Christ, to bring good news to the poor, to set the downtrodden free, and to uphold the dignity of every human person.
This event was witnessed by Rev Sr Rita Vas the Assistant General, Rev Fr George D’Costa the Parish priest of Nitya Sahaya Mata Church, Gaurabagh, Sisters of the Province, formees and the animators of Lucknow social centre.
Inauguration: It was inaugurated by Rev Sr Rita Vas the Assistant General and Rev Sr Benedicta Tellis our Provincial Superior by cutting the ribbon, after which we had meaningful prayer service , where we prayed for the good of the mission, congregation and for all the beneficiaries.
Lighting of the Lamp: Light symbolizes the divine presence and the light of Christ guiding our mission. To mark this event the lamp was lit by Rev Sr Rita Vas the Assistant General, Rev Sr Benedicta Tellis our Provincial Superior, Sr Seema Lobo the Coordinator of Social and Health apostolate, Sr Sujata Tirkey and Mrs. Manjala Kerkette the animator.
Blessing: We thank God for the vision and inspiration that brought this Centre into existence. We asked God to Bless this Social Action Centre, all those who work here, and every person who will be touched by its mission, to guide all our endeavours, that through our actions, His Kingdom of peace and righteousness may be realized on earth. May it be a place where hope is kindled, justice is promoted, and love is shared. Rev Fr George D’Costa blessed this social action centre and prayed for God’s blessings.
