North Province organized a seminar on the topic ““Called to Lead, Rooted in Christ and Serving in Love” “on the 16th of August 2025 for the leaders of the North Province at Jeevan Dhara Provincialate, Lucknow. A total of 28 Sisters attended the seminar.

‘The Foundation of Leadership’

Prayer leads to wisdom: Prayerful listening leads to wise and compassionate leadership, rooted in deep communion with Christ.
Learning humility and patience: At His feet we learn the profound lessons of humility, patience and radical surrender, shaping us into His likeness
Learning the Heart of the master: For Jesus there was a goal. We are called to reflect the tenderness of Christ. Being genuinely present, offering tender love. Each action of ours builds or breaks the other. Our leadership must echo Christ’s unique blend of tenderness and unwavering strength, ministering with grace and truth.
Formed by the Eucharist: Living and leading from the feet of Christ. Eucharist is the source of courage. When we partake in the Eucharist with devotion and faith, we become women of peace and serve deeply. True leadership fundamentally begin within. It is the unseen foundation for all visible impact.
The Eucharist is the Heartbeat of the Community: We are called to live the Eucharist in our daily life. We learn about sacrifice and reconciliation, Importance of community meals, mutual service, bearing weaknesses of one another, broken and shared and reverence that is seeing Christ in each person.
To have Spirit-Led communities: In order to have Spirit led communities we need to invoke Holy spirit before we begin meetings, taking decisions and tune into God’s voice in daily routines.
Discernment over efficiency: Train leaders to rely on spiritual guidance, open to unexpected paths. Respond with ‘Let it be’. Like Mary our Mother to say bold ‘Yes’ to the spirits promptings.
Steps in Discernment: It is a prayerful process. To prayer and reflection, inner movements, consult guides, confirm through fruits – unity, love and service.
Qualities of an effective spiritual accompanier: Rooted in prayer, attentive listening, humility and self awareness, presence in silence, fostering culture of presence in community, more present less busy, trust and healing spaces, informal listening, embracing presence in suffering.
Seven qualities of a leader: Love God, Listen to God, Repent to God, Worship God, Study God, Obey God and Serve God.
Leadership and community building: Fostering unity, Celebrating diversity, Inclusive environments, gospel reconciliation, gratitude and affirmation.
Shepherding with purpose: We are called to follow the example of Jesus: The servant leader, Moses: Guiding the flock, St Paul: Pastoral mentor, St Peter: Humble shepherding.
