The Ursuline Franciscan Sisters of North Province gathered at Jeevan Dhara Provincialate, Gaurabagh, Lucknow for celebrating 9th Provincial Chapter. It was a time of grace. The 32 delegates gathered preparing spiritually for this grace filled event through retreat preached by Rev. Fr. John Sekhar OFM on the chapter theme “Repair my house in a Synodal way” from 28th to 3rd November 2024.

The 32 delegates gathered preparing spiritually for this grace filled event through retreat preached by Rev. Fr. John Sekhar OFM on the chapter theme “Repair my house in a Synodal way” from 28th to 3rd November 2024.
After the spiritual preparation and having discerned the will of God, the delegates of 9th Provincial Chapter, elected their Provincial Superior Sr Benedicta Tellis and the Councilors, Srs Suzi, Albina Kujur, Cynthia Pashan and Susheela Remy. This great event was headed by V Rev Sr Milly Fernandes the Superior General, who was also the President of the chapter and Rev Sr Rita Vas the Assistant Superior General. Their very presence and guidance motivated the Sisters to make appropriate plans and decisions for the good of the Sisters, Formees, UFLA and Blooms and for the mission. As the fruit and outcome of the chapter Policies and Mandates were drawn which will be the guiding force for the Sisters for their life and mission.
Through this way we are called and commissioned to Repair the House in a Synodal way with deeper communion, fuller participation and greater openness in fulfilling our mission in the society.
