European Region - 8th Regional Chapter

The 8^th Regional Chapter of European Region began on 10^th of October with the retreat on the theme “Repair my House”.  Rev Fr Johnson OCD was our retreat guide. There were 18 Delegates for the Chapter. We made genuine efforts to respond generously to God and to the call “Repair my House” during the retreat dates. 

Rev Sr Milly Fernandes the Moderator graced the Chapter.  Rev Sr. Rita Vas the Assistant Superior General assisted the Superior General and guided the delegates in all the deliberations.

On 14-10-2022 in the afternoon we began our Chapter with the Inaugural opening prayer with lighting the lamp by the Chapter Moderator   and other 5 delegates. 

The Chapter dealt with different   themes like Identity and Charism  of the Congregation, Prayer life, community life, different apostolate , Congregational and Regional Government and many more. It was a journey of faith during which the whole Region and in particular the Delegates  prayed and reflected and listened to the guidance of the spirit. 

The wise and active moderation  of our Superior General Rev Sr Milly Fernandes and Rev Sr Rita Vas the Assistant Superior general   coupled with  tremendous insights and creative power to make decisions, helped to bring out effective policies for the growth of the Region and Mission. 

Among the many functions and decisions of the 8^th Regional Chapter is the appointment of the Regional Superior and Council to lead the Region, shoulder the administration, animation of the European Region and carry forward the polices and mandates of the Chapter for the next three years.

Sr Celine Furatdo -   1^st Regional Councillor

Sr Monthy Fernandes-  2^nd Regional Councillor

Sr Leena Kishori-  Coordinator of Italian Zone
