Hubli Province UFLA Decennial celebration was held on 30.10.2022. The decennial celebration of Ursuline Franciscan Lay Association (UFLA) in Hubli Province, started with the Holy Eucharist, officiated by Fr Alwyn Sudeer, the Parish Priest of Infant Jesus Church, Shanthi Nagar, Hubli. He gave a meaningful homily and appreciated the UFLA members for their contribution to the local Church.

He gave a meaningful homily and appreciated the UFLA members for their contribution to the local Church.
The guests were welcomed by Sr Stella Saldanha, the Province Coordinator for UFLA with flowers and then refreshments were served, after which there were various competitions like, Bible quiz, fancy dress, enactment of the parables, and a few other games in which all the members participated very actively.
At about 1.30pm Festal lunch was served and it was relished by all; followed by that the members presented skits on our Saints which was really appreciable. Towards the end there was prize distribution and message by the president of the programme Sr Rita Vas Asst General and General Coordinator for UFLA on the theme: ‘Word of God-Foundation for family life.’ Vote of thanks was proposed by Sr Sylvia D Souza, then the Anthem of the Congregation was sung, followed by that there was group photo session and tea. It was a day of joy, celebration and thanksgiving for all the Sisters and members. Through there are only three units of UFLA but they managed the whole show of the day.
The future plan is to start UFLA unit in Sirsi as the people are very active and devout too. All of us wished good to Sr Gretta D Souza, Provincial Superior of Hubli Province and her team, in particular to Sr Stella Saldanha. Srs Clara Menezes and Leena D Souza from Mangalore Province, Srs Annie MA and Bindu Elizabeth from Mysore Province represented for the programme.
