8th December 2016 is a red letter day in the history of our Congregation as we launched to initiate Ursuline Franciscan Blooms, a lay association for the Catholic youth of our schools and parishes on the feast of Immaculate Conception.
Rev. Sr Susheela Sequeira, our Superior General inaugurated and initiated 22 students of Tumarikop School on this day in the presence of Sr Milly Fernandes the Councillor General, the Sisters of Bharvasha Nilaya Convent Tumarikop and UFLA members. Sr Lilly Pinto inaugurated Ursuline Franciscan Blooms at St Joseph’s Kannada High School,Koppa, St Joseph’s Kannada Hr. Pry. School, Koppa and at St Joseph’s English High School, Koppa. The students were given enrolment certificate and a memento which had the pledge and prayer of UFB. So far 24 schools have initiated UFB and 580 students are enrolled as Ursuline Franciscan Blooms.
