Training in Basic Counseling Skills and N.L.P. was conducted in Generalate, Somarpann from September 26th to October 3rd 2016 for teachers working in colleges and schools under the Ursuline Franciscan Educational Society.
There were 26 participants. Sr. Carmelita UFS conducted the residential training for8 days. Rev. Sr. Milly Fernandes the Asst. General and the Vice President of the UFE Society inaugurated the training on 26-10-2016. V. Rev. Sr. Susheela Sequiera, the Superior General and the President of the UFES presided over the concluding Session of the ceremony and awarded certificates to the participants.
The participants had an enriching experience living with the members of the Governing body of the Society. This year N L P (Neuro Linguistic Programming) training also was given to them along with Counseling skills, yoga and meditation. They also took part in ‘Shramadhan’ on October 2nd and celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi by cleaning the Panir bus stop.
Hats off!! to the Former Secretary of UFES Sr Lily Fernandes who initiated this programme with the interest of the Student community and had farsightedness to train the teachers in Counselling which is the need of the hour. Today we have 300 trained teachers in our Schools with the needed skills to help the students.
