It was day of thanksgiving, it was a day of rejoicing, it was a day of celebration- the reason for all this is the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Rev Sr Edilburga Monteiro. At Generalate level this celebration was organised at Generalate- Somarpann on 19th May 2016. The family members of Sr Edilburga and the Sisters of the Congregation from the neighbouring communities along with her batch mates Srs Sophia DSouza, Sr Consolatha Noronha, and Sr Eulalia Monteiro took part in this joyful celebration. Rev. Fr Walter DSouza OCD officiated at the Jubilee mass at 10.30 a.m. After the mass there was a beautiful felicitation programme compeered by Sr Lily Fernandes. Sr Edilburga was honoured with flowers, shawl and token of love and words of appreciation for her yeomen services to the Congregation in various capacities. Her undaunting spirit, visionary mind, and missionary zeal was highlighted and appreciated.
