I PROVINCE CHAPTER 3RD TO 7TH FEBRUARY 2016 AT PROVINCIALATE ‘ST MICHAEL The First Province Chapter of Hubli Province was held from 3 to 7 January 2016 at Provincialate ‘St Michael, Hubli. It was presided over by Rev. Sr. Doreen DSouza the Superior General of the Congregation, assisted by Sr Susheela Sequeira, Assistant General.
39 delegates of the First Province Chapter of the Ursuline Franciscan Sisters of Hubli Province reflected and prayed over the theme “Ursuline Franciscan Sisters, Taking a Stand, Making a Difference with the Mind and Heart of Christ” and arrived at the following Vision – Mission Statement that would give a right orientation to the life and mission of the Province:
Vision Statement: We, the Ursuline Franciscan Sisters of Hubli Province, with the Mind and Heart of Christ Take a Stand and Make a Difference in our life and mission to wake up the world and bring fullness of life.
Mission Statement: Empowered by the Spirit of Christ, we take a stand to re-instill the sense of the Divine, restore human dignity, promote justice and peace, preserve ecological balance and make a difference in our relationship with God, Others and Cosmos.
During the Elections held at the Chapter on 5th February 2016 Rev. Sr Severine Veigas was elected as Provincial Superior and Srs Gretta Sanjeevini D’Souza as Assistant Provincial, Margaret D’Souza, Angeline Sequeira and Sunitha J Fernandes are elected as Provincial Councillors.
