The members of Ursuline Franciscan Congregation Mysore Province are very happy to tell the story of the Divine guidance in its amazing growth in the past years. We take pride in marking a red letter day in the annals of Mysore Province. A group of three Sisters pioneered the mission to Kenya under the charismatic leadership of Very Rev. Sr. Jyothi Fernandes the Provincial Superior. It was a dream fulfilled as we launched into a new mission in the year 2011, in the Diocese of Machakos. On December 5, 2011 Srs. Wilma Cynthia Rego and Reshma Roshini D’Souza flew to Kenya, with one dream “to bring Good News to the People of God.” Later in May 10, 2012 Sr Cecilia D’Souza joined them. They were warmly welcomed by Rt. Rev. Martin Kivuva Musonde Bishop of Machakos and offered them a safe place to reside and opportunities to educate the young and to nurse the sick.
