
TEMPORARY PROFESSION AND PERPETUAL PROFESSION OF THE SISTERS OF MYSORE PROVINCE Novices Dayana Rose Deena DSouza and Neelamma made their temporary profession on 7 April 2017 at Maria Niketan Bogadi and Srs Geetha P, Jevita DSouza, Jenifer Pinto Shanthi DSouza and Sushma Maria Castelino made their Perpetual Profession on 13 April 2016 at St Vincent Ferrar Church, Valencia Mangalore.
Vocation for consecrated life is born in contemplation for an intense communion and deep relationship with Christ. The light of Christ was shining on the face of the three Novices and the five Junior Sisters when they professed their vows and said yes to God’s Call.
The ceremony of Temporary Profession began with a Eucharist. Rev Fr Rajendra Kumar, the uncle of Novice Dayana Rose celebrated the Eucharist along with other concelebrants. Rev Fr Rajendra Kumar in his homily stressed on the consecrated life and evangelical counsels. The Novices pronounced their vows in the presence of Rev Sr Apoline Cordeiro the Provincial Superior, Sisters and the family members of the Novices. After the Eucharist the newly professed Sisters were felicitated. Rev Sr Apoline Cordeiro the Provincial Superior in her Presidential address thanked the parents of the newly professed Sisters for their generosity and their sacrifice. The felicitation was followed by the sumptuous meal. The Sisters of the province and the family members of the newly professed Sisters were present on the Occasion.
Rt Rev Bishop Aloysius Paul DSouza the Bishop of Mangalore solemnized the Eucharist Celebration of Perpetual Profession along with so many concelebrants. The Junior Sisters pronounced vows in the presence of V Rev Sr Doreen DSouza the Superior General. After the meaningful Eucharistic celebration the Sisters were felicitated. The celebration ended with an Agape meal. The family members of the perpetual professed Sisters, Friends and relatives witnessed this great event.
