VI PROVINCE CHAPTER 10TH TO 14TH NOVEMBER 2015 AT PROVINCIALATE ‘JEEVAN DHARA The Ursuline Franciscan Sisters of North Province had their Sixth Province Chapter from 10th to 14th November, 2015 at Provincialate ‘Jeevan Dhara Lucknow. 29 Delegates represented the Province.
As a proximate preparation for the Chapter there was a retreat preached by Fr Joe Tauro OCD on the theme “Ursuline Franciscan Sisters, Taking a Stand, Making a Difference with the Mind and Heart of Christ”
The Chapter was moderated by V. Rev. Sr Doreen D’Souza our Superior General. She was assisted by Sr Jeraldine D’Souza, Councilor General. In the election held on the 12th November, 2015 Rev Sr Shanthi D’Souza was elected as the Provincial Superior, Sr Helen Dantis as Assistant Provincial Superior, Sr Benedicta Tellis, Sr Philomena Rani and Sr Therese Monteiro as the Councillors.
