VII PROVINCE CHAPTER DECEMBER 30TH TO 3RD 2015 JANUARY 2016 AT PROVINCIALATE ‘MARIA KRIPA The VII Province Chapter of Mysore Province was held from December 30, 2015 to January 3, 2016 with the theme Ursuline Franciscan Sisters, Taking a Stand, Making a Difference with the Mind and Heart of Christ
Rev Sr Doreen D’Souza, the Superior General presided over the Province Chapter together with Sr Lily Fernandes, Coucilor General. During this grace filled event Sr Apoline Cordeiro has been re-elected as the Provincial Superior for the term of three years. Srs Annie M A Assistant Provincial, Sr Juliana Pinto, Sr Lilly Rodrigues and Sr Daisy D’Costa as Councilors.
In the Chapter 42 delegates have formulated the following Vision – Mission statement to be implemented in our apostolate and life for the term of three years.
Vision Statement: We, Ursuline Franciscan Sisters of Mysore Province, with the Heart and Mind of Christ take a prophetic stand and make a difference in our life and mission to wake up the world and bring fullness of life.
Mission Statement: Empowered by the Spirit of Christ, we take a stand to re-instill the sense of the divine, restore human dignity, promote justice, mercy, peace and reconciliation, preserve ecological balance and make a difference in our relationship with God, Self, Others and Cosmos.
