The Ursuline Franciscan Sisters of North Province celebrated their Fifth Province Chapter from 12th to 15th November, 2012 at Jeevan Dhara Provincial ate Lucknow.
As a proximate preparation for the Chapter there was a retreat preached by Fr. John Sequeira OCD on the theme “Rooted in Christ, be a Rainbow, a Visible Sign of Peace, Reconciliation and Hope for a New World.”
The inaugural Eucharistic celebration was officiated by Most Rev. Dr. Gerald John Mathais Bishop of Lucknow.
The Chapter was moderated by V. Rev. Sr Doreen D’Souza our Superior General. In the election held on the 14th November, 2012 Sr Alice Pinto was elected as the Provincial Superior, Sr Antonette as the Assistant Provincial Superior, Sr Shanthi D’Souza, Jacintha Cutinha and Sr Philomena Rani as the Councilors.
