The V Provincial Chapter Was held at Maria Niketan Bogadi, Mysore from 30th Dec. 2009 to 1st Jan 2010. The Theme of the Provincial Chapter was “Towards the redefining of the identity, lifestyle, mission of UFS today.”
In the Provincial election held on 31.12.2009,
Sr. Jyothi Fernandes has been elected Provincial Superior
Srs. Apoline Corediro, Gratia Pinto, Mary Mendonca and Irene Leena Pais are elected Provincial Councillors.

The Province is dedicated to the Pastoral ministry, social apostolate, children’s homes, women’s organization, ministry of health and education. The Congregation being pastorally oriented collaborates with dioceses and enables for mutual growth, missionary and religious experiences and enrichment in the local Churches.
The Mysore Province was erected on 03.01.1998. Thereafter, there is a steady growth in the mission and increase in the number of vocations. The Mysore Province is spread out to 7 Dioceses in Karnataka, 2 Dioceses in Andra Pradesh and one Diocese in Tamil Nadu. There are 290 Sisters rendering their services in different places and there are 65 formees at different stages of formation.
Having studied and reflected on the Theme, the Sisters are now rejuvenated and revitalized with fresh missionary zeal “to launch deeper into the life of the people solely ‘for the love God’ in simplicity of life, and proclaim the message of the fulness of life of God’s Kingdom.”
