
Rooted in Christ, be a Rainbow, a Visible Sign of Peace, Reconciliation and Hope for the New World
The VI Province Chapter of North East Province was held from 6 to 9 January 2013 at Tabor- UFC Provincialate, Dimapur. It was presided over by Rev. Sr. Doreen D’Souza the Superior General of the Congregation.
35 delegates of the VI Province Chapter of the Ursuline Franciscan Sisters of North East Province reflected and prayed over the theme “Rooted in Christ, be a Rainbow, a Visible Sign of Peace, Reconciliation and Hope for the New World and arrived at the following Vision – Mission Statement that would give a right orientation to the life and mission of the Province:
Vision Statement:
Rooted in Christ, we the Ursuline Franciscan Sisters of North East Province strive to grow as mystics through a life of contemplation, discernment and reconciliation in our daily lives and launch deeper in to life of the people.
Mission Statement:
Strengthened with a prophetic fire and apostolic zeal, we emerge as a rainbow of peace, reconciliation and hope to a new world witnessing to the kingdom values in our time and age to bring fullness of life solely for the love of God.
During the Elections held at the Chapter on 8th January 2013 Rev. Sr. Milly Fernandes was re-elected as Provincial Superior for the 2nd term and Sr. Mary C.J., Sr. Juliana Periera, Sr. Gretta Sanjeevini D’Souza and Sr. Florence Lalrinpuii are elected as Provincial Councillors. The New Provincial Team was administered oath by the Superior General Rev. Sr Doreen D’Souza in the presence of Rev. Sr Jeraldine D’Souza and Sisters and Formees of the Province on 8th January 2013.
