The Ursuline Franciscan Lay Associates of African Region celebrated its get together on 24.10.2026. It was a great and joyful day wherein 21 members from 4 units actively participated in the celebration in thanksgiving to God for the gift of life and vocation as Lay Associates in the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation and the Church at large.
The Ursuline Franciscan Lay Associates of African Region celebrated its get together on 24.10.2026. It was a great and joyful day wherein 21 members from 4 units actively participated in the celebration in thanksgiving to God for the gift of life and vocation as Lay Associates in the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation and the Church at large.
There were 8 members from Marian unit SAME Kifaru, 7 members from St Angela Unit Moshi Sanyajuu, 4 members from Assisi unit SAME and 2 members from St Ursula unit, Dodoma. The members were accompanied by their animators from each Unit. The day began with Eucharistic celebration officiated by Rev Fr James Singo the Parish Priest of St Jacob the Great Parish. The day was honored by the presence of Rev Sr Leena Mathias the Regional Superior, Rev Sr Alice Pinto, Rev Sr Mary Pautu, Rev Sr Nirmala Rodrigues and Rev Sr Consolatha Thairora the Regional Councillors, Sisters and formees from different communities. The Cultural program and games were conducted by all UFLA members. The celebration ended in a joyful and fraternal spirit with an apt message from the Regional Superior followed by a shared fellowship meal. Members returned home renewed and committed to be true witnesses of Christ in humility and service after the example of St Francis of Assisi, St Angela Merici, St Ursula and our Founder Fr Urban Stein S J.
