We are grateful to God for the UFLA members of the African Region who have responded to the call of Christ to be salt and light of the world and have joined the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation to continue with this mission.
We are grateful to God for the UFLA members of the African Region who have responded to the call of Christ to be salt and light of the world and have joined the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation to continue with this mission. At present we have 4 units with total number of 32 associates in different stages. The four units belong to 3 Dioceses which are SAME, MOSHI and DODOMA. At Assisi unit there are 7 members, Marian unit 8 members, St Ursula unit 11 members and St Angela unit 6 members. Out of these 32 members those who have made permanent affiliation are 4 members, those who are temporarily affiliated are 9, registered members are 6 and members in contact period are 13.
Sisters have taken great interest to form these members to understand the charism and Spirituality of Ursuline Franciscan Congregation. The members collaborate with Sisters in different pastoral works and they are of great support to reach out to the people. They accompany Sisters in the family apostolate, SCC prayers, visiting the sick, giving charity to the needy and other Church activities. They meet every month for prayer, study session and planning for the pastoral activities. We are grateful for their active participation in the mission of our Congregation to serve God and humanity.
