The Guest of Honour for the occasion was Mrs. Rafikieli Mmweteni, who serves as a Principal Assistant Nursing Officer and holds an Advanced Diploma in Public Health Nursing. In her inspiring address, Mrs. Rafikieli encouraged the women to take care of their health, support one another, and continue working together for the growth of their families and the community. Her speech was meaningful and motivating, highlighting the importance of women’s unity and empowerment.
The celebration was also graced by the presence of Sr. Leena Mathias, the Regional Superior of the African Region, Sr. Alice Pinto, Counselor, and Sr. Maria Anitha, the Director of Assisi Social Work Centre. Sr. Leena appreciated the women for their dedication, hard work, and active participation in the development activities of the center. She encouraged them to remain strong and continue supporting one another.
The event included beautiful cultural programs presented by the hostel children and women’s groups, which added joy and color to the celebration.
Their performances reflected the rich culture and talents of the community.
To encourage and appreciate the women, prizes were distributed, and gifts were given to all the group members. The celebration concluded with a sense of joy, unity, and renewed motivation among the women.
