ST ANGELA MIDDAY MEAL SCHEME
St Angela Midday Meal Scheme, organized by Assisi Social Work Centre, Same, was implemented at Majevu Government Primary School with the aim of supporting vulnerable children and elderly persons in the community. The programme seeks to address food insecurity and promote health and dignity among those most in need.
Through this initiative, 30 students from Majevu Government Primary School and 4 elderly persons received maize and beans sufficient for the entire year. This support has contributed significantly to ensuring regular meals, improving nutritional intake, and enabling children to focus better on their education while supporting the basic needs of elderly beneficiaries.
We express our special gratitude to Rev. Fr Joseph, Kifaru, for his generous support and compassionate commitment to the wellbeing of children and the elderly. His contribution has made this programme possible and meaningful.
The St. Angela Midday Meal Scheme stands as a concrete expression of care, dignity, and solidarity with the poor, reflecting the mission of Assisi Social Work Centre to serve the most vulnerable and promote holistic human development.
